There are many ways to find the perfect plastic surgeon.  But i’m just going to tell you about the best way, then secondary ways to find the best plastic surgeon (which can also be used as supplements to the first method).

First: Be patient.  Do research.  Interview 2-3 plastic surgeons and see examples of their work.  A good “plastic surgeon in miami” will have a portfolio of their before and after pictures.  Make sure that you like what you see.
Don’t be “sold” by the doctor or the price.  Make sure you also like the doctor and have good rapport with him.  Remember: plastic surgery is usually permanent!

This is the rational thing to do, don’t just blindly follow a recommendation for “south florida plastic surgery” from anyone.  This is the single most best way.

You know what’s best for you.

There are a few other ways to find a plastic surgeon, but the most effective way is to supplement these methods along with the first method (doing your own research).

Supplemental methods:
#Get a recommendation from a family doctor.  He or She may or may not know any plastic surgeons, but it can’t hurt to ask.  He can refer you to someone he knows well, and you might not always get the best plastic surgeon in miami. And remember,
just because he is a doctor does not mean he knows anything about plastic surgery, so be careful!

#Get a recommendation from a satisfied patient.  A testimonial is good.  Two testimonials are as good as gold! Make sure they are legitimate and not someone related to the plastic surgeon haha.

#Get a referral fro ma hospital referral line.  You will randomly be assigned a plastic surgeon recommended by the hospital, but not to private plastic surgeons who don’t work for the hospital.  A hospital-referred plastic surgeon might be
cheaper, but you may also get a lower quality doctor.  Remember to research!

#Get a recommendation from a cosmetologist or hair stylist.  This may be a very reasonable way to find a plastic surgeon in Miami.  A cosmetologist is concerned with your appearance, as well as many other clients.  They come across people
every day who get plastic surgery procedures done, and word spreads fast!  Cosmetologists are very good sources of information.

#You can call the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at 1-703-549-3223.  They have a list of board certified plastic surgeons in South Florida.  This organization is the “industry standard” who examines and certifies sergeons in
facial reconstruction surgery.
